SuperValu has turned our beloved Superquinn sausages green

WHAT?

IF YOU’RE WALKING through SuperValu Blackrock today, you might get a shock walking through the meat aisle.

No, these aren’t sausages made from green playdough.

They’re actual sausages.

The sausages were spotted in the Blackrock branch of SuperValu. The mere sight of the mutant sausages elicited the same general reaction.

But are they real?

Apparently so.

A spokesperson for SuperValu confirmed to DailyEdge.ie that the green sausages are in fact a thing and not only that, but it’s an annual occurrence.

The Superquinn sausage is taking its rightful place in the world this Patrick’s day and is going green alongside other world icons including the Eiffel Tour, the Empire State Building, Niagara Falls, Christ the Redeemer and the London Eye. Every year SuperValu Blackrock produces a range of limited edition green Superquinn sausages.

The spokesperson assured us that the sausages are made with “the original Superquinn Sausage secret recipe” meaning taste will not be affected.

Phew.

SuperValu also confirmed that the Superquinn sausage is more popular than ever before with thirty tonnes of them being sold every week.

And rightfully so.

The green sausages are available exclusively in Blackrock, but only while stocks last.
